Andre Guyot

I’m mostly a self taught artist. My father was a prolific oil painter and I have been influenced by him as well as my passion for nature and travel. Over the years, I have made art in several mediums such as acrylic and oil painting, watercolours, graphite drawings, murals, sculpture and various types of printmaking.

I tend to favour the figurative and realist side of art with subjects mostly related to nature, portraits and urban landscapes. My recent work from the last two years has been on the theme of the Pacific North West, landscape paintings in oil. I am always amazed by the colour of clouds, reflected light on water, mountains on the horizon… which inspire me to try and capture it on canvas.
