Kayla Rilling

I’ve been creative my whole life. I moved from small town Alberta when I was 19 to go to film school, and now I currently work as a Props Person in the BC Film Industry. Being surrounded by the mountains and the busy city has inspired several of my art pieces. My style is a wide range of abstract nature to cheeky cartoony pop art. I was inspired to use spray paint as my medium after seeing Banksy’s artworks on the news one night. It was the first time I saw art make a statement and encourage conversation and reflection. I used spray paint to create my flower collection to show that graffiti can be elegant and feminine. I enjoy mixing different colour palettes and bringing vibrant art
