Amanda Mallow

I am an abstract artist located in Vancouver, Canada. My artistic journey actually began as a collector of local Canadian art. When the world paused during the pandemic, I turned to art as a way to bring the outside world into my home. This eventually turned into creating on my own. With a keen eye for interior design and colour combinations, I am forever inspired by the colour palette located in my very own backyard. I am incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by the beautiful forests, lakes, and oceans of the pacific northwest. 
 
I have always been drawn to abstract work and utilize a variety of layered textural mediums to highlight the unique tactile quality of my paintings. My inner interior designer voice is constantly exploring pleasing esthetics to compliment a variety of colour schemes. So yes, I do ask myself, “will this match my couch?”.
