Ale Silva

I’m a Chilean/Canadian artist and graphic designer based in Vancouver. I moved here in 2015 with my other half, Hanns, and our dog, Brownie (aka 'most popular dog on the block' 🐶). ART ART ART 🦄 I started doodling at two years old—I was obsessed with drawing fish. Visual Art was my favourite class in school, and I won the art contests every year. Fun times! My bedroom was covered in drawings, paintings, graffiti—you name it. My plan was to study fine arts, but adults would tell me, “That’s not a real job,” so I chose graphic design instead and got a fine arts degree anyway afterward. I spent over 10 years working in web design and marketing. However, I would paint or draw any time I had the chance. Our move to Vancouver was about doing what we love, and being here reignited my passion for creating art. Now, as a freelance artist and designer, I spend my days doing what truly warms my heart. I specialize in digital illustration and acrylic painting. My work is inspired by emotions and nature, reinterpreted in a dreamlike way. I hope my art makes you stop, wonder, and maybe even smile.💙
