Liza Navarro

Is originally from the big, busy streets of Houston, Texas, and is a proud woman of color with Puerto Rican roots. Growing up in Houston exposed her to a diverse way of life full of culture, love, and respect. Now based in Vancouver, BC, on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, Liza is a doctoral candidate in language and literacy education at UBC. When not teaching or researching, she explores the city with her camera. Liza specializes in street photography, portraits, event, and branding photography.
