Carol How
Carol is a Fine photographer who evokes experiences, ideas and emotions through her art. Much of her current work is oriented towards the abstract form with architecture, urban cityscapes and environmental subjects.
She often uses symbolism to convey a sense of time and introspection to create a personal experience for each viewer. She enjoys incorporating the techniques of camera painting, slow shutter and multiple exposure to further enhance light and colour, and to create impressionism/expressionism in her images.
Carol has worked as a freelance wedding/portrait photographer and as photographer for Obeo Real Estate, the South Surrey White Rock Chamber of Commerce and the City of Surrey. She was chosen as an official volunteer photographer of the 2010 Winter Olympics, for the City of White Rock.
The City of Surrey has purchased a body of 8 environmental images for a permanent travelling exhibit.
Carol has had several images published in PhotoEd Magazine and her images have been exhibited in group shows in Alberta, and here in British Columbia.
